INTERNS

Kenzie Andrews - "Sweet Pea".  10 years old.

The Pea is one of DANCE PRESCRIPTION's newest Interns. She is an exceptionally talented young lady and through her determination and hard work, she was lucky enough to be chosen this year as one of only 2 Australians in her age group to have the honour of competing at the very prestigious Youth America Grand Prix where she was offered a scholarship to The Joffrey Ballet Academy! Sweet Pea hails from the Beverley Prange Dance Centre in Rockhampton, Qld, and also treks down to Claudia Dean Classical Coaching where she excels particularly in her beautiful classical technique.

Her other recent accomplishments include:
- Bloch Australia “Artiste” Ambassador
- 2016 Get The Beat Overall Petite Champion, winning a place at the KAR finals in LA in 2017
- 3 X National Title holder (Jazz,Lyrical,Tap)
- Australian Ballet School ITP student
- Recording artist (check out her first song on iTunes here! )
- The Queensland Ballet's 2017 Regional Tour performer

Sweet Pea has a determination, drive, passion and body intelligence far beyond her years. At only 10, she understands the importance of placement before flashiness and has already smashed several of her dance goals in the last 6 months of both face to face and Facetime DANCE PRESCRIPTION lessons. She's got the legs, she's worked for the feet, and she's definitely got the passion. She has recently been signed for a VERY exciting new venture but the details are strictly classified, so you'll have to wait and see!

Pea looks forward to joining 3 other assistants to accompany Dr. Lisa on her December 2017 U. K. Tour!

Ayshia-Mila Stromei - "Nugget". 10 years old.

Nugget has only been dancing for 4 years now, but she is a powerhouse full of strength who's on the rise in the Australian dance scene. She is another brand new DANCE PRESCRIPTION Intern and trains on a full scholarship at her home studio, DreamAcademy Australia.

Little Nugget was just announced as an Ambassador for Inspire Dancewear where she was selected out of over 200 hopeful young dancers to model and promote their dance wear. She has also been selected to be a foundational ambassador for the Dance Writer who will be keenly following Nugget's dance journey and allow her to represent Australia as a role model to other dancers her age and attend events Australia-wide. You can find the latest article about Nugget by the Dance Writer here.

Recently, Nugget travelled to Sydney to participate in the NRG Competition and Convention and took out the highest scholarship in her age group and the place at the "NRGies" at the National finals in Washington DC.

Nugget is always keen to give back to her community and is currently helping to raise awareness and funds for “Act Now Speak Later”, where she will be preforming a solo at a cancer fund raising event in Melbourne.

One of the newest additions to the Dance Prescription’s ATG team, Nugget couldn’t be more excited, she trains on a daily basis to achieve her weekly and long term goals, she thrives to achieve her absolute best both as an assistant for Dr Lisa Ellis's workshops and to grow as a young dancer. Nugget has made a vast improvement whilst with Dr Lisa Ellis over the last six months and hopes to travel both domestically and internationally regularly assisting Dr Lisa with her workshops - indeed she will be one of the assistants joining Dr. Lisa on her December 2017 U. K. Tour!

My absolutely favourite thing about being part of the Dance Prescription team is learning from the other dancers, and coming home inspired. Seeing my progress is so exciting!
